1 Year of Happy!

 Jason and I celebrated our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY this weekend!  My mind can't quite grasp the fact that it's been one whole year since I married the love of my life.  It has been such a wonderful and crazy year full of lots of love, lots of laughs, big decisions, important changes, and a whole lot of HAPPY!  I love this man of mine and I can't wait to spend many more anniversaries with him. 

We started the weekend off in Logan, at the same place we were married a year ago.  Going to the temple was the perfect way to celebrate the happiness we've been blessed with for the past year.

We then headed up to Bear Lake for the weekend.  My grandparents have a cabin up there - which provided the perfect combination of fun relaxing get away and no money (we didn't quite make our fortunes in the first year - we'll work on it this year).  One thing I love about Jason is how much fun I have just being with him.  My absolute favorite place to be is at home, in my sweats, with Jason by my side doing nothing at all but just laughing, talking, and being together.  We spent the weekend sitting by the fire playing games (which of course Jason won), watching Bones (our favorite show), and thinking about the fun time we've had in the past year.  Here are some of our favorite memories...

The list could go on and on!  We ended our anniversary weekend by starting a long awaited tradition.  After Jason asked me to marry him, we sent a lantern up into the sky with a sweet message written on it.  Jason told me that on every anniversary, he wanted to light another lantern with our hopes and dreams for that year and our future together (I know, I married the sweetest most romantic man in the world).  At our wedding we had all the guests light lanterns off to send us on our way.  However, since our engagement, flying lanterns have apparently become a major safety hazard (or at least the emails I receive from the state of Utah tell me so).  Jason knew I was worried about lighting the city of Provo on fire and being arrested, so he found an equally sweet alternative.  As we returned to Provo Sunday evening, we took a detour to Utah Lake, where we wrote a message on a lantern that floated on water.  It was the perfect way to end a wonderful weekend with my Jason.

Happy Anniversary Babe!  I love you with all my heart and can't wait to see what our future together brings.  Thanks for 1 year of so much Happy!  Always Together. Never Apart. 

Brittany vs. the Blog

I did it - I caved - I finally got a blog to record the crazy and wild adventures of the Sanders' family (most of our adventures involve tiredly laying in bed watching Modern Family and Bones - so if that sounds too wild and crazy to handle, turn back now - you have been fairly warned).

Truth be told, I've been wanting to get a blog for quite some time now.  Although it may sound cliche, ever since Jason and I were married last May, I've been wanting to start a blog to record our lives together.  Even if no one out there takes the time to read my crazy ramblings, I hope I can use this blog to record, in some small way, our lives together. 

So... since the purpose of this blog is to record the life of our new little family, what better way to start than with a post about my darling and wonderful hubby (warning number 2:  this post is bound to get mushy, so I apologize in advance for the lovey-dovey-ness).

I love my husband.  Let me emphasize that again.  I LOVE MY HUSBAND.  He truly is the love of my life and I love every second I get to be with him.  The last two weeks have been hard for us.  I'm currently performing in a production of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" at the Hale Centre Theatre in West Valley.  My double has been out of town or has had other commitments for the last two weeks, so I haven't seen much of Jason.  We usually cross paths somewhere on the I-15 as he heads home from work and I head from work to the theater, but other than that, our time together has pretty much been spent sleeping.  I have missed him!  Never once has he complained about being home every night by himself,  or living mostly off of frozen pizzas, or only seeing his wife with crazy post wig hair and left over show makeup.  Each night I come home to a clean house, a big kiss, and a handsome smiling face.  Oh how I love him!  He is my biggest support system and my very best friend.  Here's to having at least every other night to be together!  I love you Jas.  Always Together, Never Apart.
